Weight Loss Muscle

People who are active are usually very preoccupied by their physical training (cardio, weight training or stretching) and their diet even if they don't have weight related problems.

There is a series of classical mistakes concerning diets and choosing a right diet means adapting your body to certain food which is healthy.

If you make mistakes you will learn to correct them in time and this article will teach you what you do wrong and which are the things that keep you from looking the way you want to. Probably the most frequent mistake many of us do is neglecting the breakfast. We are always in a hurry, we either miss the school bus, either want to sleep more or we are just too late for work so we skip our breakfast. Although everyone knows that breakfast is the most important meal in the day we will not listen to that advice because we are simply too busy. Skipping breakfast will make you eat more because if we don't eat in the morning we will get very hungry later and it will be hard to control what we eat. If you want to avoid that thing and you are simply too busy to eat at home, buy some yogurt or some fruits on the way to work; send someone or go yourself and get something healthy to eat on your break. Don't eat fast food, that's not a healthy choice!

Another mistake is not to eat before practice. Maybe because, again, we have no time to eat but if we don't eat we won't have enough energy; if we don't have enough energy we will feel very tired and our practice will not be complete. If you really don't have time to eat make a protein milkshake and drink it. The other mistake which can be compared with this one is not eating after practice; the best time to eat is 2 hours after practice but people think that they aren't allowed to eat afterwards which is a big mistake. If you eat later you won't burn all those calories because your muscles will be more relaxed.

We often ask ourselves if we should replace a meal with a protein drink or bar. If we refer to someone who has a normal life, moderate physical activity and goes to the gym from time to time there is no reason to replace their meals with protein bars or drinks. They can use them as snacks between meals but never replace a whole meal with one. These protein bars may be very valuable in nutrients but they won't cover the whole calories you need. Another nutrition mistake is eating a large quantity of proteins but not enough carbohydrates. There are many diets based on this principle but for a person who doesn't want to lose weight this diet is highly contra productive because as we all know carbohydrates represent the immediate energy sources our body has.

People lost their instinct to feed themselves as much as they need. Maybe the whole fast food industry and “getting out for a pizza” principle are at fault. We become more and more non-active and we have a lot of hyper caloric products everywhere. It's a big challenge to learn to eat as much as you need, no more or less, because food has lost its role of giving us energy and keeping us alive. We eat now because we have to order something when we go out, we eat because we are depressed, we eat because you have to get some popcorn at the cinema, and other types of bad eating lines. Food which is high in calories will surely make us put more weight in a short time while a non sufficient caloric intake will lead to muscle loss.

Another mistake is not drinking enough water. Many people think that water makes you fat; my grandma used to say “don't drink so much water because it will make you fat! “ Well I got fat not from my water but from her delicious cakes! Our body needs water to maintain its vital functions; also water is used in burning the fat so if the body lacks water it will stop burning fat. You have to drink at least 8 glasses of water per day and one glass for any coffee you drink (coffee has a diuretically effect). Water will make your skin look great too and will keep your kidneys clean. A great mistake is thinking that if you make a lot of sport you can eat all the chocolate and all the food you want .The problem is not about gaining weight this way but it is also about keeping your body from getting all the minerals and nutrients. When you eat large quantities of food your body has no time to metabolize each nutrient properly so you will gain weight and lack vitamins.

The worse mistake is following those extreme diets which don't care about health or nutrition. All those wonder-diets can be found in magazines, from our friends or family. Everybody is an expert in nutrition nowadays! Well it's not like that at all because most of these diets can be very bad for your health and yeah they will make you look good but do a lot of damage inside. They are all based on big results in a short time but that means also weight gaining in a short time after you stop. It's not healthy and not very comfortable to choose such a diet so don't. Ask a real nutritionist about what you should eat and don't follow every fashionable diet! Maybe a lot of people find themselves in my words and think about how bad they eat but now after you read this article you have no reason not to eat healthy and have a good diet. Before you didn't know but now that you know which are the biggest mistakes a person can do you will have to stop. Practically adopting a good diet means a lot of self conscience because if you know that something is unhealthy for you and care about yourself you will stop. If you don't care about your life and yourself you will probably never eat right. Start loving yourself before you start loving a healthy life!
